![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The values of interaction between religious people are emphazised with the principle of agreement and respect as fellow citizens and human beings.ĭiversity is the reality of Indonesian life, whether ethnically, linguistically, culturally, or religiously. It serves effectively as a contribution of communicative actions, as conveyed by Jurgen Habermas, through reconciliation among religious people. Religion pays particular attention to a social construct and practice with the main purpose of harmony and moderatism of religion. Resistance to religious entities is always found, as one of the markers of Populism, so that the symbolic interaction of religious leaders in undermining conflict and violence is indispensable. This article confirms that communication serves vitally in addressing religious exclusivity. In the era of Populism, moreover in the dimension of religious practice, the case in West Sumatra shows horizontal disagreement or disharmony related to symbols and material aspects of religion such as the establishment of religious ritual places and supporting resource. ![]() Plurality of beliefs as a whole part of the social landscape of Indonesian society is not yet fully understood and believed by the religious community. The religious moderatism is one of the constructive efforts in a diverse religious society. The pattern of social da'wah is an alternative in building tolerance and harmonization over the plurality of society. From the researcher's analysis, harmonization in religious harmony is influenced by activities that create and touch a sense of togetherness and affection. The forum can be used as a medium for dialogue. Communication and cooperation are well established between government figures, religious leaders, and community leaders in various community harmony forums and organizations such as Petamas and FKUB. This is due to the community's spiritual condition and the mindset of an advanced society due to many universities. The results of this study indicate that the city of Semarang consists of various tribes, religions, and ethnicities, the people have a high sense of tolerance. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The research uses a qualitative approach. This study aims to find the format of the pattern of developing religious harmony and the role of government and religious leaders in creating a conducive situation in Semarang. ![]()
